Senior Compliance Analyst

Whatis the Global Compliance group responsible for?

Themission of Global Compliance is to assist Management in protecting our licensesand reputation as a result of non-adherence to regulations applicable to ourlocal regulatory licenses.

Key activities include providing training and adviceto the business on regulatory matters, identifying, assessing and informingManagement of compliance risks to their business or license and ensureeffective mitigation plans or prompt resolution.

Whatis the Senior Compliance Analyst responsiblefor?

TheSenior Compliance Analyst is responsible under the direct supervision of his orher manager, for assisting senior management to ensure that each regulatedentity and its EU branches adhere to and operate within its specific licenserequirements, as well as the ongoing regulatory compliance obligations of localregulatory bodies.

He / she will independently perform compliance monitoringactivities and will assist the Director Global Compliance in Germany incarrying out his / her duties relating to the compliance and MLRO function for itslicensed activities.

Thisincludes preparation of compliance reports, risk assessment of business,carrying out monitoring, answering day to day compliance questions to business,or regulators and supporting training and advice on local regulatorydevelopment.

Tasks andResponsibilities :

Monitoring and analyzing ongoing regulatoryrequirements to ensure that policies and procedures are compliant.

Conducting desk-based compliance monitoring andtesting to provide assurance of compliance with applicable laws, regulation,best practice and firm standards.

Providing compliance services to the internaldepartments

Reviewing marketing material and providing guidanceto the Sales & Marketing departments in Europe

Retaining locally stored compliance records andrelated documentation

Assisting the local senior management in day-to dayissues, projects, business development issues

Participating in the implementation of regulatoryprojects

Working closely with the International Compliancedepartment in EMEA and APAC, risk management, internal audit, the EMEA investmentcontrolling group, fund accounting, TA, and Legal.

The ideal candidate would demonstrate the potentialto take on a leading role within the Compliance department in enhancing ourtechnology-

driven efforts (e.g. RegTech) to enhance efficiencies

What ideal qualifications and experience would help someone to besuccessful?

Relevant degree e.g. in Economics, Finance or Law,or other relevant professional qualifications

Ideally, 1-5 years experience in a compliance rolewithin the financial service industry, ideally with a focus on asset management.

Alternatively, strong practical experience from other job profiles in the assetmanagement industry, e.g. at supervisor level.

Solid knowledge of the investment funds / firmsactivities

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, structured andeffective manner

    Very well organized self-starter able to prioritizeand manage several projects / assignments at a time

    Strong team player and able to work in globalmulticultural environment with numerous virtual interactions

    Fluency in English and Polish. Any other languagewould be a considered an asset.

    Minimum proficient in MS Office applications suchas Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

    Proven experience in using digital solutions (dataanalytics etc.) would be a strong plus

    A very limitedamount of travel may be required.
