Leading and supporting markets to create demand forecasts based on prior performance and future sales by maintaining the demand planning system and software, ensuring correctness of data and providing value added analysis to support decision making with a goal to provide the supply chain with the most accurate forecast possible.
Working with Distributors and Commercial to develop demand forecast for a portfolio of SKU’s through application of statistical forecasting methods and integration of latest marketing and sales activities and assumptions.
Forecast accuracy : Analyses the gap between the forecast and actual demand and monitor forecast accuracy to support and challenge the Commercial / Distributors to further improve forecast performance.
Forecast alignment : Analyses the gap between the demand forecast and financial projection to identify financial risks and works with Commercial and Finance to address the gaps, aligning between demand and financial forecasts, mitigating risks.
Maintains demand planning master data and other inputs to the system to ensure that demand cascades accurately to supply planning and to ensure better statistical forecast output.
Extracts Reports and Raw Data from source systems (IBP, SAP, Iscala) to support ad hoc and recurrent reporting requirements.
Analyses performance and trends, identifies opportunities, and risks, and proactively communicates to cross-functional teams.
Assists the markets in the development of forecast by providing insights and analysis on new products introductions, seasonal trend by history, understanding promo analysis, product allocation in case of capacity constraints.
Ensures demand forecast is shared / received in the format, level of detail, and timing required by all customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions.
Regularly engaged on the demand review meetings by encouraging 1) Forecast alignment, 2) Depletion plans of slow moving and obsoletes inventory as one of demand plans, 3) Improvements on forecast quality and 4) Process improvements for a more efficient and effective demand and supply planning process.
Strengthen and support demand forecasting process improvement from Market’s perspective with periodical market assessments.
Supports regional and global demand planning initiatives and projects.
Supports regional and global SC initiatives and projects.
Required Skills and Experience
Undergraduate degree required (Forecasting, Supply Planning, Supply Chain)
3-4 years’ experience in demand planning, and / or sales operations experience
Statistical understanding / interest
System / IT savvy
Ability to work
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Sensitive with numbers
