The researcher will participate on project focusing on global organic matter turnover, decomposition of leave litter in forest.
We are looking for an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher with rich experience in the field of microbiology who will be responsible for the introduction and implementation of modern methods for studying bacteria involved in the decomposition of leaf litter.
It is advisable that the candidate have experience in molecular research as applied to microorganisms, including in the use of techniques such as : isolation of genetic material from environmental tests, soil tests;
PCR; RT-PCR; next-generation large-scale sequencing in the determination of sample metagenome.
Skills / Qualifications
At the time of concluding the employment contract, the candidate must have a doctoral (PhD) degree in biological sciences, which he obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project.
two scientific opinions, including one independent researcher;
experience in molecular studies with reference to microorganisms;
work on basic laboratory equipment in the field of microbiological tests and molecular techniques, such as : stations for the isolation of genetic material and assessment of the quality and quantity of isolated material;
thermocyclers including thermocycler for real-time PCR;
experience in using a fluorescence microscope;
proficiency in bioinformatics methods, in particular analysis of the next generation large-scale sequencing results;
experience in using statistical analysis programs;
language skills : English at a communicative level (spoken and written).
