Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule. Work closely with schedulers to determine progress of work, completion dates, and production problems with parts.

This is accomplished by maintaining Tecomet’s principles of Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction and Innovation.


  • Set up jobs for new purchase order utilizing the Vantage computer system.
  • Print job travelers and complete packets for production floor.
  • Order customer labels for specific jobs.
  • Resolve shop floor issues involving production and scheduling problems.
  • Monitor work in progress.
  • Insure jobs are completed in the Vantage system.
  • Communicate with Team Leaders on a daily basis as needed.
  • Monitor finished goods and insure totals are correct.
  • Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisor / Manager as deemed appropriate.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrates ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Competent with intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word. Knowledge of Vantage computer system.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments if necessary.
  • Capable of working within specific policy guidelines receiving general directions.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE.

  • High School diploma or general education degree. One to three years experience or training.
  • Working Conditions / Physical Abilities :

  • Well lighted, heated / or air-conditioned indoor office / production setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Ability to maneuver throughout the facility / facilities as needed.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach / handle items and work with fingers.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE.
