Summary :

The Billing Global Process Owner will be accountable for the continuous improvement, service delivery design and process design of Baxter’s Billing processes in alignment with Global C2C strategies.

Global Process Owner will be responsible for the governance of Billing processes and sub-processes.

Person in this position will help to develop and monitor key process operational metrics and will partner with site teams, regional project teams, IT, peer process owners and the C2C Global Process Owner to ensure end-to-end process governance, drive performance against desired operational objectives, and lead the identification and implementation of process-specific continuous improvement and operating model design opportunities.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the development and execution of a global strategy for policies, processes and technologies within the billing scope to drive standardization and automation across the organization.
  • Establishing and communicating a clear vision for billing processes across the organization, related customer-facing teams, and business units.
  • Developing and translating strategy into operational goals and objectives, identifying necessary resources (people and capital);
  • assessing opportunities against business objectives and determining creative means to implement new and innovative technical and process-based solutions.

  • Collaborating with corporate functions to update policies and procedures, and enforce strict adherence to the established standards.
  • Partnering with other GPOs and business leaders to transform a highly fragmented and manual billing process into a standardized and digitized process.
  • Driving the implementation of technology and process improvements to increase automation, standardization and improvement of the customer experience by providing complete and accurate billing documents.
  • Analyzing root causes of recurring billing issues and initiating targeted improvement projects engaging cross-functional teams to eradicate the root cause and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for an ongoing training methodology and program for processes, systems, and policies in collaboration with the business, corporate and shared services.
  • Managing projects within their process with a focus on reducing process costs and maximizing investment returns with an emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as a key stakeholder to foster a business-oriented culture; continuously monitoring the needs of the business and the customers.
  • Participating in shared services governance management boards to provide input on items such as shared services scope and service delivery and assist in resolving operational issues.
  • Working in conjunction with the shared services team to develop and operate any applicable reporting and analytics to measure and improve the efficiency of the billing process.
  • Who are we looking for?

  • Expert with +10 years of financial process experience with the working path in a global environment with a proven ability to influence large, diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Person with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems in an unstructured environment.
  • Strong Business Partner with C2C / OTC expertise with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and operations colleagues in all applicable Baxter Finance and business functional areas.
  • Strong challenger that positively influences others in a team environment that demonstrates the ability to structure projects, set objectives, and execute work plans.
  • Strong Analyst with project management skills coupled with the ability to think strategically.
  • Additionally working experience within the healthcare and life sciences industries and their specific billing practices would be a huge asset.
