This role can be located in any Amazon FC (Fulfillment Center) in Poland, Slovakia or Czech Republic.

The successful candidate will support the Customer Fulfillment EHS Network projects in line with the WW / EU / Regional EHS Goals.

You will be tasked with developing, tracking and delivering programs, which support Amazon’s strategic initiatives to improve EHS Performance and Associate Engagement.

You will be responsible for looking at continuous improvement via metrics, data or other key engagement factors. Reporting to the Regional EHS Manager, you will be part of a regional team and spend time liaising with members of the Regional and EU EHS teams, attending meetings and calls, preparing and presenting data, business cases, projects and proposals.

You will be expected to travel and visit the sites in and outside the region 20-50% of your working time.

Responsibilities :

  • Organize and track programs / objectives for the Regional EHS Team
  • Develop, review, approve and improve internal policies and procedures in the respect of the countries EHS legal requirements
  • Analyze of data trends and developing ideas to strengthen the strategic direction of the business via EHS
  • Implement and track Safety alerts, procedures deployment with systems to enable and support site EHS Managers
  • Support launch of new sites with EHS compliance guidance
  • Liaise with the EU Regulatory Intelligence Manager on Regulatory engagement
  • Facilitite an effective SME (Subject Matter Expert) network at a Regional level
  • Write proposals and white papers with data to support / challenge as required
  • Define plans to ensure full understanding / implementation of WW / EU EHS Procedures in the region
  • Conduct local assessments and audits
  • Ensure a robust incident investigation process (A3)
  • Coordinate projects to reduce the Serious Injuries in the network
  • Coordinate programs to improve the Safety / Environment Leadership Index
  • Contribute to the SMEs / auditors skills development
  • Ensure a standardization of the best practices shared across the network
  • Work closely with key department stakeholders such as Engineering, Transportation, Procurement, Learning and Development, Real Estate, and others
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing)
  • Fluency in Polish, Czech or Slovak (speaking and writing)
  • Strong project management skills, organization and rigor
  • Flexible approach to work, able to manage own priorities, workload and travel
  • Credibility and be able to effectively engage and influence other functional leaders and their teams
  • Used to operating at all levels of the organization from warehouse floor to senior management level
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills result orientated and tenacious
  • Must have a drive, enthusiasm and autonomy
  • Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment
  • Able to work to tight targets and deadlines
  • Knowledge in Safety Software for tracking and documenting Safety data / metrics
  • 5+ years working experience in EHS
  • An in-depth understanding of essential / relevant regional legislations
  • Ideally an experience with warehousing and logistics beneficial
  • Educated to a University degree level
