Currently, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Warsaw office for a paid legal internship in the Real Estate practice.

As an associate in our practice, you will be working in an exciting working environment, handling challenging, time-sensitive deals that demand a cool head and positive mindset.

From the moment you join, you will be interacting with multidisciplinary teams from across our international offices and practice groups, from Tax and Intellectual Property to Private Equity, Real Estate and Commercial Litigation.

As well as learning from leading practitioners within our own group, you will therefore also be ideally placed to integrate yourself within the firm’s wider global network.

As a junior associate, your responsibilities will include a broad range of communication, logistical and analytical tasks coordinating the various groups working on a project and ensuring that they are all on schedule, understanding and disseminating transactional information, and liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Supported by your colleagues at every step, you will find this work both challenging and rewarding : partners are both accessible and approachable, and as a team we will ensure that you are given the training and hands-on experience needed to flourish in this field.

Duties and Accountabilities

  • Conducting analysis of documents and drafting inserts to due diligence reports;
  • Preparing first drafts / riders to various agreements (e.g., lease / tenancy agreements, construction contracts, loan agreements, property sale agreements);
  • Conducting research on various legal issues connected with real estate transactions;
  • Preparing documents connected with real estate transactions and providing assistance in closing meetings;
  • Contacting the relevant authorities and drafting motions in order to establish the legal status of real property;
  • Visiting courts (mainly land and mortgage register divisions) in order to examine files of land and mortgage registers.
  • Qualifications

  • 5th-year students or graduates of Polish university-level schools of law;
  • Genuine comprehension of and passion for law as we believe that only with such qualities can you fully enjoy working on our projects and deliver creative solutions;
  • Fluency in English and Legal English, which are essential for daily communication with our colleagues from different White & Case offices around the world;
  • Attention to detail as our clients appreciate that we can effectively keep an eye on the big picture when delivering top-notch legal advice;
  • Excellent analytical skills, as we would love to hear your opinions supported by strong reasoning;
  • Responsibility and willingness to learn and work hard as we enjoy working together and want you to become a part of our team.
