As a part of the F&A management team you will be responsible for accomplishing department objectives by supervising staff as well as organizing and monitoring their day-
to-day work. You will oversee a team of up to 25 staff members. You will be a leader of a team that provides F&A shared services operations support in accordance with the established policies, procedures and service level agreements.
Additionally, you will take care of your employees’ training and personal development opportunities. T&E Supervisor with German As a Supervisor you will have the opportunity to : · Manage operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving process issues,· Accomplish team’s job results by coaching them, planning, monitoring, providing feedback on performance;
Provide quality service by applying quality and customer service standards, review deliverables (including reporting) as necessary to ensure service levels and quality standards are consistently met by the team;
Maintain staff by recruiting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities; · Challenge existing processes, come up with innovative suggestions;
implement solutions that improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, and / or customer service;· Serve as the escalation point for functional issues;
work with Subarea Manager, Customers or others to resolve as necessary;· Participate in GDS initiatives and other projects (as assigned).
Skills and attributes for success : · Strong finance / accounting background and minimum 3+ years of accounting experience within T&E area ideally including at least 1 year of supervisory experience / coordination of a small team· Strong analytical and problem solving skills along with excellent knowledge of MS Excel· Customer oriented and able to build strong relationship with clients· Excellent communication skills (facilitation and presentation skills a plus)· Strong spoken and written German and English · Demonstrating supervisory skills such as teambuilding, training / coaching, providing constructive feedback to staff, effective delegation, staffing and scheduling· Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, positive attitude, open, honest and ethical· Flexible and dependable;
willing to adjust work schedule as necessary to meet peak demands and customer requirements· Proficiency with finance specific technology and standard firm technology such as Outlook, IE, Windows, Word, PowerPoint, SAP.
