What are the ongoing responsibilities of Risk Analyst Institutional Client Risk Management?
This role will work with Client Services and Investment Risk to deliver high quality reporting and support initiatives that contribute to the overall Institutional Client Experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop proficiency with performance and risk systems used to deliver Institutional Client reporting.
Assume Risk Group oversight and expertise on cross asset-class reporting needs for a specified group of clients
Shepherd important client requests
Serve as Risk Group liaison to other FT Institutional Client Experience teams with respect to assigned group of accounts
Evaluate and monitor internal processes for ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness of required client reporting
Serve as Risk Group point person for any reporting problems that arise with assigned accounts
Providing regular feedback to the Institutional Client Experience team on quality of analysis and accuracy issues.
Assume an ownership attitude for Risk Group impact on Institutional Client Experience
Assist in larger scale projects / initiatives related to the Institutional Client Experience as a Business Analyst.
Think out-of-the-box, offer ideas and meaningful input for improvements
Develop or assist in process / data enhancement projects :
Build department wide data used to operate efficiently (i.e. Account / Client / Reporting requirement relationships)
Identify areas in need of operational improvements.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Education and experience :
Under-graduate degree (ideally finance, business and / or accounting-related)
Requires 3+ years of relevant investment industry experience
Prior project management, investment management operations experience desired
Important skills :
Solid understanding of stocks, bonds, mutual funds
Experience with Risk Systems, internal FT systems
Strong quantitative abilities
Highly developed attention to detail
Organized, calm under pressure, excellent communicator
Adept with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
