RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for an experienced lawyer to join the legal team. Focusing on cash and derivatives credit trading and structured finance transactions, you'll bring your skills to bear on high profile transactions requiring detailed legal analysis and judgement.
Based in Warsaw, the role will also offer potential to provide support and oversight to the Warsaw based ISDA negotiation team.
The structured finance and derivatives legal team covers the full spectrum of derivatives as well as leverage finance-linked transactions and debt trading, structured products, funds and securitisation.
The team advises on the structuring and execution of transactions, helps the firm navigate legal and regulatory change and advises on all aspects of legal and reputational risk.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Advising on the structuring, documentation and execution of debt trading transactions (both par and distressed) and finance-
linked hedging transactions.
Advising on a variety of risk management and legal issues concerning debt trading; in particular, from a regulatory standpoint, you will provide advice in relation to market abuse issues while on the transactional side you will be involved in debt restructurings and workouts.
Advising on the practical impact of regulatory reform to your coverage area.
Assisting with the negotiation and drafting of transactional documents, including coordination with external counsel.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
4+ years legal experience in a leading international law firm or 4+ years in a financial institution
Strong lending, structured finance and restructuring experience. Previous knowledge of structuring and execution of secondary debt transactions, together with the related regulatory background definitely a plus.
Experience of working with finance-linked derivatives subject to intercreditor agreements is helpful.
Experience of working with derivatives including credit derivatives, a bonus.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to explain complex legal concepts in accessible way.
In-house experience (permanent or through secondment)
Robust personality able to respond and be flexible to client demands whilst adhering to firm policies and group practices.
