Tasks :

  • Lead and manage projects and coordinate work of multi-location and cross-functional project teams. Motivate and monitor internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones
  • Manage the cost, schedule and performance objectives of the projects within a program. Manage interdependencies between projects in order to realize specified benefits.
  • Ensure partnering with relevant business functions and internal / external customers

  • Ensure understanding of customer value in the projects and act to ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations.
  • Take into consideration requirements and demands coming from internal and external customers

  • Ensure projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures as well as external standards that influence activities and targets
  • Effectively organize, monitor, and control activities to ensure achievement of planned stage-gates and efficient utilization of available resources.
  • Monitor and control program cost and financials

  • Ensure transparency around change requests, unforeseen results / events and identified risks and ensure that they are properly managed and communicated.
  • Ensure that all opportunities are captured and acted upon

  • Serve as the key contact for stakeholders, and an escalation point for program / project issues. Effectively communicate appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner to achieve desired understanding and support
  • Lead in partnership with business managers, product management, and other internal functions and external parties.
  • Initiate the development of and implement project management requirements, processes, methods, techniques, tools, handbooks, and guidelines
  • Develop, manage, and expand relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, customers, and external relevant parties.
  • Provide proposals for potential partnerships

  • Provide mentoring, coaching and direction setting to team members and project managers
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes
  • Continuously improve project management methodologies and toolkits used within the organization
  • Act as a champion for transformation through digitalization and craft solutions for business problems that are related to the project
  • Foster and manage productive relationships with executive level sponsors
  • Promote a diverse work environment through education, training, and professional development activities
  • Create an environment that encourages innovation and risk taking
  • Use knowledge of general financial and accounting principles to understand and communicate how decisions affect bottom line for project
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related fields
  • Experience managing customer relationships and expectations
  • Prior knowledge and experience in managing and implementing digitalization projects in one or more industries, e.g. energy and utilities, manufacturing, industrial automation, Industrial Internet, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in SW development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and methodologies, release and version control, testing methodologies, and deployment management
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in managing complex projects with multiple technologies, multiple locations, involving a number of project staff and clients for systems that affect many users
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for client satisfaction
  • Strong conceptual and creative skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, and gains understanding
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Prior management experience with digitalization projects involving multiple technologies, including cloud applications, Big Data and analytics, Internet of Things, etc.
  • Experience managing software-intensive projects. Knowledge and experience with agile product development.
  • PMP certification (desired)
  • Outstanding record of project management success. Proactive in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk
  • Fluent in English. Other languages are an added advantage
