dealers, global custodians and investment banks a full local clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland.
For new activity within BNP Paribas Securities Services in Poland which is an exciting, dynamic and growing operation centre in Warsaw we are looking for candidates who are willing to be a vital part of the expansion in BNP Paribas’ operational scope in Poland.
As a part of the Hedge Funds Accounting and Valuation Team within Alternative Funds Operations your aim will be to produce the Net Asset Valuation (NAV) for our clients.
The position will give unique opportunity to work on complete end to end fund valuation processes with only few other departments’ involvement.
Prepare end-to-end Hedge Fund Accounting valuations for daily / weekly / monthly funds;
Record accurately, and in accordance with the policies and procedures, such accounting records as trades, corporate actions, capital movements and journal entries;
Reconcile various accounts; promptly research and correct any discrepancies;
Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records and prices, communicate same to Team Leader, assist in their resolution;
Assist, as assigned, in preparing audit and compliance reports;
Prepare, check and upload portfolio pricing (for equities, bonds, funds, derivatives, FX Forwards etc.)
Review of share class hedging correctness concerning positions and tolerance, rolling forwards at end of period;
Preparation, maintenance and review of accruals of expenses (fixed and variable), in depth analysis of amounts due and cross-
currency payables processing;
Trial Balance / Balance Sheet review;
Ensure pre agreed internal and external deadlines are met consistently;
Involvement in Kaizen initiatives and different project;
University degree (preferable in Finance / Accounting / Banking)
At least 1 year of professional experience in financial services industry (previous experience within fund administration would be an asset)
Good command of MS Office (Excel is a must)
Strong English verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to work in a team
Self-motivated with teamwork approach
SS&C Advent’s Geneva® and Bloomberg terminal usage experience would be an asset
VBA knowledge would be an asset
