ABOUT THE ROLE :
The overall objective is to maintain, support and develop all services relating to the EMEA-SA WAN , LAN, Internet and WiFi infrastructure platforms.
Proactive support, monitor and management of these platforms across regions to ensure to efficient service provision, delivering customer satisfaction and stability, meeting and in-
line with European business requirements and SLA’s.
This includes designing, managing, configuring and optimizing all the communications related systems and services, including but not limited to Quality of Service, VPN based backup systems, Switching &
Routing, cloud connectivity.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
Duties will include but are not restricted to :
Conducting strategic LAN, WAN, Internet and WiFi development plans in accordance with stated business strategy.
Designing and implementing data communications projects with a goal to improving or expanding the current infrastructure.
Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and training plans for the use of LAN, WAN; Internet and WiFi communications systems.
Working with end users to establish service level agreements based on user requirements.
Assessing need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant), make recommendations, and execute them as required.
Initiating, designing, and monitoring to ensure continuous improvements
Designing and supporting LAN, WAN, Internet and WiFi infrastructure and its associated Hardware and software, including routers, switches, and management / monitoring systems.
Integrating these systems with client & server systems / services, wireless LANs, VOIP and Internet-based services and protocols.
Assisting in the provisioning of Data Telecommunication services, including Service Management and technical support services as required aligned with Arrow adopted ITIL best practices.
Assisting with the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, procedures, audits, and enhancements.
Interacting and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors
Preparing recommendations and feed into Data Communications budget.
Ensuring service provision in line with existing and new or amended OLA’s that result from new services
Generating continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives and ideas

Strong technical knowledge of Data communications, convergence WAN and LAN, Internet and WiFi networks and other associated emerging technologies (SD-WAN) etc.
Proven experience in Tier 3 Support.
Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Understanding of project management principles.
Ability to actively participate in a moderately complex environment.
Experience in Microsoft Azure Express Forward & related connectivity is a plus.
