As a Supplier Account Manager you will be part of an innovative global commodity team, continuously interfacing with cutting edge technologies and companies.

Internally, frequent interfacing with R&D, Procurement Engineering, Product Marketing, Quality & Regulatory, Legal and Operations.

Commodity Management is supplier focused and aligns the supply base with the business needs, at the best total cost to meet the defined requirements of a business or market entity.

The Commodity manager develops and coordinates the key commodity strategies within the BoM and / or Indirect Materials & Services procurement where applicable.

Accountable for Total Cost of Ownership including material costs, long term assurance of supply, supplier selection and performance and procurement information / data management.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop and implement strategic commodity plans strategic commodity plans.

Has full accountability for BOM material and services costs, long term assurance of supply, supplier performance and selection and supply management information / data management, providing support and guidance to relevant procurement peers, building of supply market intelligence to support business and or market decisions Apply continuous improvement of processes and technologies that support materials decisions within the assigned scope.

You will be responsible for

  • Co-developing, maintaining and executeing commodity strategies for the assigned supplier portfolio / sub commodity.
  • Building and maintaining a preferred supply base for the supplier portfolio defined.
  • Supplier evaluation and management within the assigned scope.
  • Leading strategic contract and price negotiations for assigned supplier portfolio, including gathering relevant benchmark data, supply market intelligence.
  • Relevant project management assignments within the applicable scope.
  • contract management within the assigned scope (develop, maintain and execute).
  • Ensuring that related risks are controlled and mitigated.
  • Ensuring Q&R compliancy for all new supplier deployment as relevant.
  • To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience :

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 5 years’ knowledge and experience in procurement, with preference to OEM / 3rd party software vendor experience
  • Good understanding of technology, supply base for both OEM & Embedded software
  • Solid understanding of Licensing and IP aspects is a bonus
  • Experience in a production environment (medical / FDA regulated preferred)
  • Comfortable working with R&D Engineering, Marketing, Quality & Regulatory and closely partnering with Legal
