The Technology manager role serves as point of contact for the technology team in the planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support of both external Client and Internal banker Web Portal platforms, The Role will be responsible to collaborate with the various global development and support partners in analysis, design and implementing the solutions in CPB EMEA.

The incumbent is required to engage and work with global and regional business & technology stakeholders, respective O&T leads and internal / external partners at all levels to deliver against objectives.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation of various initiatives for the EMEA Private Bank in the Web / Mobile portal space
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the area and act as a regional champion to drive progress and innovation
  • Propose & advice the business and technology partners on various projects / requirements
  • Ensure that the applications are compliant with both internal Citi policies and external regulations in various jurisdictions (Switzerland / UK and Jersey)
  • Partner with sponsors / stakeholders and drive projects from conception through implementation
  • Develop and execute project plans to deliver within a specified time and budget
  • Manage the project life cycle according to established processes
  • Co-ordinate and work with teams across multiple locations and time-zones
  • Responsible for identifying / managing project issues / risks and escalations
  • Deliver effective communication and report on initiatives to various levels of management
  • Qualifications

  • Graduate / Post Graduate degree in Technology with a strong and consistent academic background
  • 7 years or more technology development & project management experience with waterfall and / or agile practices / principles
  • Working experience and understanding of technology stack used in a Web Portal / Digital environment
  • Knowledge of functional areas like Client Reporting and Client On-boarding in a large global private bank
  • Exposure to various regulatory, compliance & control aspects
  • Proven experience of integration with various products and technologies in an enterprise environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated ability and proven track record in building partnerships and collaborative relationships at various levels within the organization, people and relationship management, managing within a matrix environment
  • Excellent team player, leadership, negotiation skills, ability to influence outcomes without direct managerial responsibility
  • Demonstrate organization skills with the ability to multi task effectively in a high volume environment while maintaining adherence to deadlines and setting priorities accordingly
  • Self-motivated and directed, proactive and action-oriented, must demonstrate personal accountability
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills; strong oral and written communication skills including presentation development and delivery
  • Technical Skills :

  • Expertise with requirement gathering and analysis
  • Expertise with project management methods
  • Experience with distributed computing technology
  • Knowledge of backend systems development and integration
  • Knowledge of transactional & analytical data management systems with hands on knowledge of data analysis tools like SQL
  • Fundamentals of application servers and middleware components like Websphere, IBM MQ / TIBCO
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as Java / J2EE,ExtJs, HTML5
  • Working knowledge of UNIX based operating systems
