Description

Warsaw based Human Resources Reward and Mobility Department is responsible for deferred compensation administration for EMEA locations (excluding UK) across all Citi businesses.

The team also works closely with HR, HR Shared Services and Finance teams to establish and maintain payroll, accounting, reporting and reconciliation processes for covered regions.

What would you do as a Compensation Manager :

  • Work in a dynamic HR business with a multi-country, highly matrixed structure
  • Team and process management
  • Supervision and process compensation transactions
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks analyze issues
  • Develop, implement and execute effective process control tools and automations
  • Challenge the status quo by supporting change and improvement initiatives
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Citi’s compensation components, including Citi shares (equity) programs and deferred cash programs
  • Liaise with HR, HRSS and Finance teams, build and maintain good working relationship with internal stakeholders and partners
  • Assist in co-ordination of deferred compensation transactions, including communications, analysis of stock delivery methods, analysis of tax withholding position
  • Develop an understanding of the tax and social security withholding and reporting requirements in locations where deferrals are offered
  • Supervise the analysis and reporting of equity data to multiple internal and external parties
  • Supervise the provision of information as part of the year-end vesting process impacting a large multi-country employee population

  • What do we expect from a Compensation Manager :

  • Bachelor degree is a must
  • Fluent English
  • Experience in managing several projects simultaneously or managing small team
  • Extensive experience of the management of data, including extensive use of Excel, ability to query systems and then present data in a palatable format
  • Thorough understanding of various compensation elements, systems and processes
  • Extensive experience (3-5 years) within a HR environment operating at a senior advisory level within a fast paced environment
  • Experience of working within a matrixed organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully both as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Strong leadership skills and willingness to develop as a people manager
  • Strong understanding of risk and control
  • Awareness of deferred compensation / stock plan issues would be an asset
  • Experience in an accounting firm or in-house, concentrating on cross border and / or employment tax and social security issues with management of a compliance season preferred and experience in advising on Equity and other types of deferred compensation plans and advising Financial Sector clients is an asset
  • Experience working in Compensation & Benefits within Financial Services, preferably focusing on Equity Compensation is an asset
