Application Support Engineer - with German

Global Delivery Network (GDN) is theorganization within Siemens Industry Software responsible for global deliveryof PLM and MOM services.

As a result of a rapid growth and business needs GDNdecided to extend its current delivery network (USA, India & Malaysia) withEurope dedicated Nearshore Center in Poland

We are looking for candidates who would helpus build and drive PLM / MOM Application Support practice within our new DeliveryCenter in Wroclaw.

Whatare my responsibilities?

  • Manage ticket priority, urgency,escalation and service level agreements (SLAs) as per agreed measures
  • Handling Production issues as perSLAs - Analysis / Trouble shooting / Debugging
  • Interaction with clients forrequirement understanding, unclear / incomplete requirement, additionalrequirement, input data issues
  • Deliver final results tocustomer / end user
  • Plan workload activity againstdeliverables and monitor progress effectively
  • Assist the Project Manager in theplanning and effective application of change management principles to theproject, where required
  • Assist the Project Manager on QoS,SLA, CSI etc
  • Develop relationships with the aimof being seen as a trusted support personnel to customers and colleagues
  • Lead in the problem-solving ofissues through to resolution, providing considered workaround and viablesolutions to the customer
  • Establish and build effectiverelationships with customers with excellent communication skills.
  • What doI need to qualify for this job?

  • Overall 2-3 years of Experience inIT level 2 support. Must have experience in troubleshooting problems.
  • Unix shell script, Perl script,Windows Bat script nice to have
  • Database (Oracles / SQL) : Administration,Monitoring, Troubleshooting, SQL Query
  • XML , XSLT, Web Services / SOASkills
  • Know-how of building SoftwarePackage would be added advantage.
  • English (B2 level) and German (B1+level) is a MUST
  • ITIL Certification or Training
  • Ability to understand the incidentand problem.
  • Ability to redirect ticketsproperly
  • Ability to simulate the problems
  • Willingness to learn Siemens PLMSoftware family.
