Job Description

  • Leads the reliability life cycle management of equipment, including design, operation and maintenance. This includes identifying and implementing of site and global engineering best practice.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of the Reliability Engineering work process to assure that reliability threats in the plant are identified, prioritized and mitigated
  • Periodically monitors asset performance and analysis of performance losses and the effectiveness of current maintenance strategies, based on reliability expertise and reliability characteristics, modes and risks of failure
  • Making use of available data to analyze and assess bad-actors in terms of safety, reliability, availability and maintenance cost
  • Communicates common failings and findings to the Operation department in order to agree areas for continuous improvement and supports the defining and prioritizing of Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Supports development and training of new engineering systems, tools and processes related to asset care
  • Provides input to configure the maintenance management system (CMMS) (such as asset breakdown structure, Preventive Maintenance plans, task lists, bill of materials etc.)
  • Facilitates the site wide and consistent use of appropriate reliability processes and techniques (e.g. FMECA’s, RCM, equipment criticality process, condition monitoring techniques, failure root cause investigations)
  • Defines, owns and maintains the reliability metrics and KPI’s
  • Coordinates site wide training and coaching in best practices and reliability techniques
  • Influencing design / acquiring phase of new assets to optimize life cycle costs (e.g. design-out of non-reliabilities, reduced maintenance efforts)
  • Minimum requirements

  • Education : degree in discipline engineering (Dipl. Ing. or M.Sc. or B.Sc) or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience at similar position
  • Skilled in Maintenance methodologies like RCA, , FMECA and corresponding tools
  • Skilled in Root Cause Failure Finding techniques
  • A sound understanding of reliability- and maintenance engineering and broad knowledge of equipment dominant failures
  • Sound knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Foreign languages : English communicative in writing and speaking
  • Needed applications knowledge : Good command of MS Office, SAP, AutoCad 2d
