The Vendor Risk Management (VRM) team within Sourcing & Vendor Management (SVM) is recruiting to expand its vendor risk management due diligence function.

The primary objective of this function is to run regulatory driven vendor risk assessment processes and ensure the bank is not exposed to any risk while entering into relationships with external third parties.

The risk assessment process is aimed at collecting information on vendors and their products / services to conduct a screening and identify potential risks and mitigation actions.

Proper assessment and mitigation of vendor risks are critical in order to :

  • Safeguard Credit Suisse from financial, regulatory, reputational and other business impacts that would be detrimental to the business, clients and shareholders
  • Align with third-party regulatory requirements
  • Main responsibilities will include :

  • Lead a team of approximately 18-20 staff responsible for executing vendor onboarding due diligence risk assessments and ongoing risk monitoring for the bank (incl.
  • approx. 4 direct reports)

  • Act as the key VRM contact for issue escalations, which requires frequent interaction with global colleagues and partners
  • Share subject matter knowledge and expertise to foster development of team members
  • Manage timely closure of mitigation actions identified during screenings
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization to ensure compliance to applicable rules and regulations and mitigate key commercial, contractual & reputational risk
  • Lead operational calls with specialized risk departments involved in the screening process with whom the VRM team collaborate : IT Risk, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Anti-
  • Corruption (BACC), Anti-Fraud, Sustainability Affairs (SA), Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Legal & Compliance (LCD)

    You Offer

  • You have minimum 5 years of professional experience in Risk / Compliance field
  • You have minimum 5 years of people management experience
  • You possess strong communication and relationship management skills, including coaching approach and ability to influence without authority
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written), proficiency in German will be beneficial
  • You have strong analytical skills and attention to details and excellent data analytics skills with an ability to create reports in MS Excel
  • You are a creative problem solver with a practical ability to deliver solutions
  • You possess excellent organizational skills including ability to handle multiple assignments at a time
  • You demonstrate fluency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in process transition and change management is a plus
  • Experience in Quality Controls and Risk Management, including key principles of proactive risk management identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and mitigations is an advantage
