About EY GDS EY Technology is a global organization that works with our internal clients, to provide IT support and solution to client teams, internal support functions and global projects and programs.

Over the next few years, GDS Poland will increase the number of IT professionals in its center to develop and support EY’s business and internal applications.

These professionals include IT project managers, business analysts, software architects, infrastructure engineers. EY Technology team maintains and enhances EY’s IT infrastructure and works for our internal clients across the globe.

You will work with EY locations, supporting our service lines and key business processes or be part a dedicated IT team handling cross-

organizational initiatives and transformational projects. The IT Project Management is responsible and accountable for end to end IT project / program delivery.

This includes management of the entire life cycle of the project / program (initiate, plan, execute, monitor control and close a project), leading the project / program team, working with global executives, management teams and IT Services Teams to ensure project / program success.

Project Manager is responsible for proactive performance monitoring and reporting on project / program scope, time, cost, quality, risks and overall project / program health.

  • Analytical / Decision-making responsibilities :

  • Makes decisions about how to manage IT project / program based on scope and requirements
  • Manage resources who deliver on multiple tasks and other projects simultaneously
  • Proactively identifies and addresses project / program strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
  • Responds to and defines problems; identifies possible causes; works with team to identify solutions; selects and implements most appropriate solution
  • Makes key decisions with appropriate input where necessary based upon solid understanding of IT Services principles; firm and business objectives and needs analysis
  • Ability to implement IT methodologies, processes, and practices to specific requirements of programs / projects which may include project management, portfolio management, business analysis, software life cycle, systems development life cycle, product engineering, information security, quality assurance and IT life cycle
  • Proactively identify risks and issues on projects managed with appropriate input where necessary; leading team to develop risk management and issues management plans.
  • Identifies and implements mitigation strategies for risks.

  • Monitors and manages project baseline to ensure activities are occurring as planned. Identifies potential points of contention for missed deliverables;
  • creates and implements strategy to mitigate shortfalls in timeline that missed or unexpected deliverables create

  • Proficient analytical skills and problem solving skills needed to manage project deliverables and milestones
  • Prepares for gate reviews and quality assurance reviews with appropriate input where necessary for all aspects of IT organization and business sponsors so that appropriate decision makers can make well informed decisions regarding the project / program.
  • To qualify for the role you must have

  • Degree at university level
  • English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • 3+ years of technical or systems analysis experience
  • Strong management qualities required to lead and supervise project / program teams which deliver business value.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to lead and motivate project / program teams that deliver quality services
  • Advanced understanding of scope management, time management, and cost management.
  • Ability to manage multiple moderate to complex IT projects or programs
  • Technical skills (i.e. Microsoft office including Lotus Notes) including Microsoft Project as project documentation must be maintained electronically
  • Proven technical IT skills : requirements management, testing, service management, implementation, deployment as appropriate for the program or project Experience working with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PRINCE2); Blueprint, ITIL, RUP
  • Must be able to demonstrate skills to influence / negotiating and manage sponsor and stakeholder expectations
  • Facilitation skills to lead teams and successful meetings
  • Strong knowledge of organizational structure of the firm to facilitate work with groups outside of the immediate project / program team or in the event of cross functional teams
  • Knowledge and experience in all IT methodologies that will be used to guide the work of the program or project
  • Strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (includes negotiation)
