Purpose Of Role

The role holder is responsible for sales and strategy to manage overall sales activity for a widespread market, sector or a country.

This role incorporates growing and / or managing top defined BT Accounts. He / she directs an area sales force in reaching sales quota, focusing on developing new business and / or managing existing business while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

To manage overall sales activity through managers or a large group of sales professionals

To make a significant contribution to the company's sales revenue

To be directly involved on major accounts and prospects

To develop internal and external relationships at an executive level

Assist the Head of Sales / Sales Director in the development of sales strategy and objectives

Additional responsibilities may include pre-sales, customer support and sales administration

Business Impact

Long term strategy and overall business philosophy typically guide this role.

Impact is medium-term but may be involved in longer term strategic planning.

Develops commercially sound solutions that influence business unit results and improve customer relationships.

Increased awareness of functions outside of own business area.

Authority / Decision Making :

  • Able to engage at Board level both internally and externally to strategically position BT for maximum competitive advantage

    Ability to meet the customers’ needs in line with the business requirements

    Focusing on the objectives and the required outcomes of the processes during delivering a service

    Working with a cooperative and positive attitude in a group settings to achieve common goals

    The ability to convey information to someone effectively and efficiently while creating a good first impression and engaging the audience

    Ability to comprehend and to systematically organize the various aspects of a problem or situation

    Taking the responsibility and takes care of the consequences of making a decision

    Acting in advance of a future situation, e.g. making things happen, putting energy to solve the situation

    Strong leadership skills in managing, motivating and coaching

    Professional skills :

    proven IT / Telco sales track record and references

    IT security market knowledge, Contact Center market knowledge is an advantage

    experience with leading (virtual) teams

    track record of sales strategy contribution

    able to engage at Board level both internally and externally to strategically position BT for maximum competitive advantage

    Relevant experience and track record in telco sales

    C level negotiations and sales experience with references

    Strong leadership skills in managing, motivating and coaching

    Qualifications :

  • Educated to degree level and relevant job experience
  • Language skills : English on a fluent level
