What is the Global Document Services group responsible for?

Global Document Services supports Global Marketing in updating over 500 standard sales presentations quarterly. Apart from the scheduled updates Presentation Specialist is also assigned special projects to customize these presentations for institutional client meetings.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Presentation Specialist?

The Presentation Specialist will work directly with the requestor, who could be from a Sales office around the globe. The candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and should be able to effectively tailor communications to a diverse range of business stakeholders.

They will also maintain detailed and accurate activity logs for every change they make to ensure proper auditing. Working with global peers is imperative as the Global Document Services team is located in multiple locations.

Daily tasks :

  • Provides accurate, consistent and timely solutions to support presentation composition, formatting and design utilizing dynamic presentation generation technology as well as page layout software applications.
  • Provides high-caliber client service with a strong understanding of client and industry strategic needs and tactical requests along with superior knowledge of identified products, processes, functionality and / or systems.
  • Implements standard base analysis of sources and content to identify and report issues while also noting patterns of error and marginal discrepancies.
  • Identifies training needs of both end-users and team members, triggering the development, participation and roll-out of on-
  • going training programs.

  • Partners with clients focusing on exceptional customer service. Interacts professionally with clients and team members to understand business needs and goals.
  • Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills and is able to effectively tailor communications to a diverse range of business stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with key business resources and project stakeholders.
  • Utilizes GDS Workflow tracking systems to communicate with requestors. Maintains detailed and accurate activity logs to support group performance metrics tracking
  • What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 2 years of experience in a document services, presentation development, or printing environment
  • Advanced to expert written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, vocabulary, spelling and proofreading
  • Advanced skill level set in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and presentation editing software such as Adobe Acrobat (Acrobat Professional)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid proofreading skills and capabilities
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with departmental guidelines and objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with global business partners through the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Solid knowledge of mutual fund industry and investment products / concepts
  • Ability to organize and maintain accurate orderly files and records, while prioritizing workflow
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Ability to incorporate detailed project requirements and instructions into finished product
  • Ability to solve routine departmental and presentation generation issues with minimal to no direction and / or supervision
