Investing & Advisory Product Specialist (Asset Management)

YOU AND YOUR TEAM

The I&A Product Specialist is a member of the EMEA Product Specialist team, which provides support directly to a select set of Thomson Reuters’ most important, as well as second and third level support for any unanswered application queries from Customer Support.

Queries are typically for advanced analytical products, but can consist of account-related requests as well. Specialists serve as the client advocate in assisting in their every need, including expediting any client service issues.

I&A Specialists rotate through shifts Monday Friday. Queue support methods Specialists cover include phone, e-mail, and chat.

Product Specialists are a key and invaluable link between our Services / GTM (Sales) / Product Management teams, and our clients.

Combining an understanding of the financial services industry with expertise in our product offerings, Specialists assist our clients in their every need including streamlining the research and analysis process, locating the correct teams to provide product and content support, how-

to training, advocating for the client, and expediting all client requests. We offer an unparalleled level of service along with insight into the intricacies and functionality of the Thomson Reuters applications we support.

As part of the I&A Specialists Team, you'll join a team that is committed to industry-leading service, working closely with our various stakeholders (Customer Support, Sales, Product Management).

SOME OF DAILY TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM :

  • Respond quickly and effectively to requests for assistance directly from the client, Customer Support, and other teams across Thomson Reuters.
  • Act as a liaison between Customer Support, Sales, Product Management, and the client. Advocate for all of the client's needs.
  • Work directly with clients to provide additional information, updates, and resolution to issues escalated from Customer Support teams.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on the products and markets supported.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other resolver groups across the organization to ensure appropriate resolutions are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Take ownership of escalated issues and manage product / service outages.
  • Analyze reports to look for opportunities to improve client experience and drive client satisfaction.
  • Assist in pre-sales activities by servicing prospects as stated above.
  • WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

  • BA / BS degree- Finance, Business or Economics major or equivalent work experience. CFA candidates, MBA and other advanced degree holders are preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Asset Management, including performance attribution, portfolio analytics, and familiarity with modern portfolio theory.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge in typical Asset Management workflow, typical industry content and products, and market / industry knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), as well as critical reasoning skills in order to identify problems and provide solutions quickly.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills to manage outstanding issues until resolution. Strong follow-up skills, and a track record for influencing people outside of your span of control.
  • Analytical, organized, detail oriented, and disciplined. Proven quick learners, self-motivated, and proven logical reasoning skills.
  • An ability to effectively work within a team and to collaborate is required. Comfortable with presentations and web conferencing (such as WebEx of GoToMeeting).
  • YOU WILL BE EVEN MORE COMPETITIVE IF :

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting products relevant to Asset Management; Strong knowledge and genuine interest in financial markets;
  • Client-facing experience; Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; Excellent problem-solving skills; Strong knowledge in a wide-

    array of Thomson Reuters products and content; Ability to work under pressure.
